Super Sammi Simpson ![]()
Meet Sammi, our Head of Scheduling and also captain of Manchester Swinton Lionesses. We first crossed paths with Sammi when we became her sponsors and its safe to say she made an impression on everyone. From inspiring Lyla and Esme on the rugby pitch to being offered a job at HQ, organising the team each week and liaising with customers to ensure each job runs smoothly. Here are a few interesting facts about Sammi –
- She has played Rugby League at international level for both England and Scotland
- She (in her own words) is a crazy cat lady and has two of her own, Smudge and Simba
- She has also represented England in three other sports, Thai Boxing, Cheerleading and Kabaddi!


Introducing Jay, our Joinery Apprentice! Jay has been with us for about six months now and has impressed everyone with his skill, knowledge and eagerness to learn. We asked him to tell us three things about himself:
- His Uncle and Grandad are both carpenters, so carpentry runs in his family.
- He plays football every week and the team he was in at school went undefeated for four years. His Sunday League team were also invited to a tournament in Barcelona.
- He has two Cocker Spaniels called Maggie and Spencer.

Say hello to Danielle, our Apprentice Plumber. Danielle has been with us for just over six months and is the first female tradesperson in the team! Earlier this year, she was awarded ‘Apprentice of the Year’ by her college for her Level 2 Plumbing diploma and is now working towards her level 3. Here are some facts about Danielle:
– She has a Cockapoo called Teddy who, in her words is her world
– She plays football for Crompton FC Ladies Open Age
– She is a proud Oldham Athletic fan and has travelled the country supporting them but counts seeing them at Wembley, when they won in the play offs and made it back into the football league as one of the most amazing moments.

Introducing Luke, our Joinery Apprentice. He joined the team in September and has already made a fantastic impression, both on the job and in college! Here are some interesting facts about Luke:
– He has a Cockapoo called Eric
– He has played football for his local team for 10 years
– He loves swimming and used to swim for a team

Introducing Jack, our semi skilled labourer. He has been with us for a few months now and has proved to be a hard working and dedicated member of the team. He will be undertaking an apprenticeship in the new year in to become a Property Maintenance Operative. Here are some facts about Jack:
– He has a Cavapoo called Monty and cat called Ted
– He has played sport his whole life, mainly Rugby and also broke the world record for the longest Rugby match where they played for 31 hours straight. This was to raising money for Scotty’s Soldiers and the Firefighters Charity.
-He is a lifelong City fan

– He has played professional Rugby for four different teams, playing in over 200 games including Super League for his home town team, Warrington Wolves.
– He is a big Everton fan.
– He has been married to his wife, Sonia for 4 years and together they have 3 cats called Clive, Richard and Tony and a dog called Sonny.
– His favourite meal is a full English.

– He loves to go fishing
– He plays darts
– His favourite drink is a pint of Guinness and favourite food is a steak and ale pie
